Binazirbonu Yusupova is a first-year PhD student in the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University (Ireland).

She holds a master’s degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex (UK). She is broadly interested in gender and informality in transition economies.

For her research, Binazir is applying a gender perspective to look at the ways connections, social solidarity and trust networks are created and used by micro-entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.

She is motivated to emphasise gender in research and gender aspects in development and policy making.
