H2020 ITN MARKETS: Statement of Solidarity with Ukraine

Alarmed by the dramatic events unfolding in Ukraine, as H2020 ITN MARKETS fellows and supervisors, we express our condemnation of the reprehensible actions of the Russian government and its military aggression against sovereign and democratic Ukraine. We stand in solidarity with the suffering of Ukrainians and express our sincere support to all victims of war. We also recognise and support those Russian citizens who are courageously opposing the despicable actions of their government.

As academics specialising in this region, we are worried about the potential repercussions of this conflict for the future, and are aware of the debilitating effects of the war beyond these immediate, appalling developments. We will maintain our research efforts to foster understanding and cooperation in the hope that it will contribute to social change and a peaceful future.
